The Government wasting even more money

While I am having a moan today,  I also saw this bit of news which I thought was another shocking  waste of money.

The article says:  An RAF plane that cost millions to be coverted into a government jet has been sidelined from VIP duties.
David Cameron's Tory government spent £10 million customising the aircraft to fly ministers and royals around the world in 2015.
Then, 5 years later,  Boris wanted the plane to be re-sprayed in red/white/blue at a cost of another £900,000.

Now the RAF has confirmed the plane has not even been used for VIP transport since 2023.  And since  Labour took over a year ago,  this plane seems to have only been used to refuel other jets over the North Sea.

Yet another colossal waste of money by governments,  yet they had the nerve to stop the poorer people's winter fuel payments!   I suppose the money saved by that would give them even more to waste on another extravagence.

Personally, I don't even see why government ministers should be treated like royalty anyway,  because they are not.

It is true.  Governments these days seek only to improve things for themselves at the expense of the rest of the country including, it appears, the armed services.
This has been the ongoing thing ever since Bliar took control.
