50 people were injured yesterday, 27 people were hospitalised with 4 people seriously ill. I watched a clip my friend sent to me and it's just a miracle that nobody died.    Police were quick to say they'd arrested a white British 53 year old man !

Amazing how quick they come out with details of the suspect when it's white British.....

Scrumpy

It has become a tragic 'copycat' game that is spreading around the world..
It is proving to be unsafe to go to any event where people are gathering..
The police were very quick to tell us that a White British man has been arrested..
Am I right in thinking that it is only the White British gatherings that are targeted..!!
Drive a car through a Israeli protest and all hell would break loose..
No-one has dared to do it..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I think that the police have learned something from Southport .
It also proves that they can give out details PDQ if they want too.
This looks like a non terrorist incident and thankfully no one was killed .

GrannyMac

Sounds as though he may have been drinking or taking drugs.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Dreadful thing to happen. It may not be terrorism but the result is the same.

Provided that the perpetrator is white British.

I wonder why the police not generally the brightest sparks think the public are idiots ?

Ashy

I'd like to think, or hope, that many of the plods on the ground still have some common sense.
I believe that the real problem with the police rests at the top.  Wasn't it Treason May who sacked all the experienced police and encouraged university sociology graduates to be advanced to the top, presumably assuming that they are more intelligent than the ordinary plods!

Yes, I accept that policemen (er, and women) should be familiar with at least the basics of the law, but bearing in mind how 'lefty' the universities now appear to be, I wonder just what things have been drilled into the heads of the police bosses, especially that one now in charge of the Met.
