I see in the paper its the final's tonight.   Anyone watching it?

It may seem rather un-patriotic,  but I'm afraid I am not really much interested.   I might turn over and watch bits and pieces,  but no way could I watch the whole thing from beginning to end.
How about you?

I remember last year's and remember thinking how much it had changed over the years.
More and more weirdos and half naked blokes and women leaping about the stage,  and not really anything remotely to do with nice music.   Just all shouty songs, flashing lights, and deafening music.
Not for me,  sorry.

I also haven't heard one single critic yet, thinking the UK song could win either.

Daughter and partner insisting we watch for fun and keep score!!
I'm singularly unimpressed with it, it's not about the song at all, but flashing lights, lots of background noise, costume changes, manic dancing...,right now it's some poor boy getting shipwrecked in a storm!!
The only one I would love to win is the lovely song from Israel 10/10

I so agree with you saying its not about the song at all

I saw that bit about the ship wreck, Ruthio.    I couldn't make out if it was a boy or a girl because he kept singing all high-pitched and a woman's voice didn't he.

I really hate all the flashing lights on screen,  I have to look away or turn it off.  I reckon half of the background stuff going on is to detract us from the awful songs!

In fact I have turned it off and am now watching  'The 1% Club.'
I like some of the puzzles on there.

Ruthio

Shipwreck boy won!
My favourite Israel came 2nd

muddy

Won the public vote though was voted out politically by the anti Israel juries of Europe .
That boy with the high voice was just IMO horrible caterwauling .

I stopped watching it years ago. As for what the UK would be entering, the very thought makes me shudder.

I used to love watching Eurovision.  Years ago we'd have a Euro party, few Brits meeting up to keep scores - an excuse for a booze up really  There were some great songs back then.

I have never watched the Eurovision Song Contest, firstly because I am not interested in that sort of music (organ music for me!).

Secondly, it is not a song contest, but a 'who has the most friends' contest!

He's a counter tenor, similar to a mezzo soprano.   I heard a few, all pretty terrible! So my daughter and I watched the 1% club too. It was a repeat, but we hadn't seen it.  I enjoy it too.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
