Scrumpy

:hugs: Hugger.?
That was the question asked on the radio today..

I guess I am..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Raven

Nope, no, no way.

Scrumpy

I don't hug everyone.. My children and family members..

Sometimes a bloke but they have to be clean..
I give my mates a hug if they are struggling with a problem..
Not the bloke who works at the Co-op. He smokes..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I reckon I'm much the same as you, Scrumpy.
Nothing wrong with showing affection, and it can be a comfort to receive affection too.
In fact it could even be seen as a bit sad when we are afraid to show any affection these days.

It's funny isn't it,    that when children are hurting we would seem pretty cold and heartless if we didn't give them a comforting hug,   and yet after childhood the very same action and for the same reason,  can be frowned upon by some.
I suppose there are hugs . .  and hugs though, and it can also depend on who gives them, and why.

Personally,  I think a gentle comforting hug when we feel a bit down,  can be just what we needed.
But there again,  some people are just not affectionate by nature.   We're all different aren't we.
