Mature interpretations

I went to Screwfix yesterday.  While there, I saw some old bloke with the seat of his trousers half way down to his knees, emulating the trend of youngsters wearing their trousers low.  I don't think his motives were the same though, and suspect he simply couldn't be arsed to pull them up.

There is also a trend of youngsters wearing their females wearing tops which don't cover their tummies entirely, thus leaving a strip of midriff flesh showing.  My own emulation of this is that I've put on so much weight since my operation that my tee shirts sometimes ride up over my belly.  I might get some spray-on tan for my stomach and glue a mock diamond to my naval to give the suggestion that I've had it pierced.

Have you noticed any similar effects, albeit for different reasons, that connect the old and young?
