Trying to find a plumber

Alex

I had to wait until after Easter to try a few phone numbers for plumbers as everyone was on holiday.   So far I've messaged 3, two didn't reply and one is 'calling me back'      Also yesterday my grandson caught his pocket on a kitchen door handle, next thing the door is hanging off.  I've no idea how it happened, I guess he must have put his weight on the door.  I've sent for 2 x metal hinge plates from Amazon, hopefully my lad will be able to fix this.......pity he can't do showers !

Good job this is all I've got to worry about, my oldest and dearest friend is going through dreadful health problems.

Happy St George's Day.

Wish I lived a bit closer Alex.  I could replace the shower and fix the door for a cuppa and a slice of lemon drizzle cake.

Hope you get someone soon.

Mups

Well let's hope you find one that actually does what he says he will do, and is reliable Alex.
Good luck.

The problem with replacing showers is there is no standard for where the pipes and the power go. I did one and it was a damned nightmare rerouting.

You also need to know the power rating of the (electric) shower so you don't try to draw excessive amperage from the supply cable.

I've also lost a reply on this thread and also Dex's mum in law.   I think it happens when two people post at the same time ?  I should remember to check .

Probably only 30-40 miles away from each other too.  Just not close enough to make it viable🥹

The most likely problem is that you missed the message about a reply appearing while you were composing yours. If it does you do have to hit post again. I've fallen victim to that on occasion and it can be annoying if the post was a long one and so lost.
