There's a new Rabbit disease sweeping the country which they are calling RHD - Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease.   They reckon its more deadly than the old Myxomatosis.

It causes the poor bunnies to haemorrhage  internally, and is carried by Rats, Mice and even Birds.
There have been cases found in Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the North of England so far.
(Have you heard about it up where you are Raven)?

So beware of eating any Rabbit pie!

I would never eat rabbit.. I haven't seen it in the shop for many years..
As a child many neighbours had rabbits but not as pets, they were food..
How can anyone keep a rabbit/pig/chicken then eat it..!!!

My sister-in-law was Spanish.. Her home was in the hills.. Men carried rifles.. If it moved .. they shot it.. They had many cages at the home filled with live wild birds.. I thought they were pets..
But they were food..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

The only time I have bought Rabbit was for my old dog who was a frail little old lady and suffered with Pancreatitis.
She could only have very low fat meat otherwise she became ill.
I used to ask the butcher to skin and joint it because it didn't look like a Rabbit to me anymore then.
I hated cooking it,  but would have done anything for her.

This was her on her 15th birthday,  and she lived on until a big seizure finished her,  aged 16 & half.
Her name was 'Mups' -  hence my name here.

(She had a poorly leg at this time, hence the bandage on her front leg).
