Why are we such a weak country.. ?

Looking back over history people ,when they were being suppressed and suffering.. and the rich had it all ..
they would storm the palaces and and overrun those who were bossing others around..
The fall of Rome.. Russian Revolution.. etc

We go on a march.. wave a few banners..do a bit of shouting.. then we go home..
We dare not speak out for fear of being imprisoned...

.. and there's more of us then them..!!
Perhaps I'm talking a load of crap.. It just  doesn't make sense to me..

End of rant... sorry.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

It all started to go wrong when women were given the vote.

Women weren't given the vote, they had to take it.

That was back in the days when people stood up for what was right. Now we all seem to take any old crap and put up with it. We need another with the balls of Oliver Cromwell.

Who would you put first up against the wall? So many choices it's hard to pick I think.

Yes indeed.  On average, we British are now very much laid back and accepting of what is happening,
Of course, Starmer's latest idea is to threaten every white person with the possibility of imprisonment if we dare to criticise him and his actions.  Naturally, that will deter most of us from publicly criticising him.  To make matters worse, he has the support of the Civil Service, the train drivers, the judges, and importantly the senior members of the police.

I needn't mention who should be shot first, but in any event there'd immediately be another one ready to take over.

So true mate..Bloody wimmen mad as a box of frogs, can't live with 'em, can't shoot them.
They have all read 50 Shades of Grey for a reason - they secretly want to be dominated! I so I took my woman into the garden for some fun, (I have read 50 Sheds  of Grey) , We tried various positions - round the back, on the side, up against a wall ... but in the end we came to the conclusion the bottom of the garden was the only place for a good shed
But  then they read something in  womans mag like Cosmopolitan or go on Mumsnet  and suddenly us blokes have to be oh so sensual and know in detail all seven erogenous zones of the female body and unlock each one in sequential order before extending the flaps on final approach and god help any man who dares venture out of order for fear of being labelled crap in bed
They put on a skirt the size of 4 tea bags then complain cos blokes look at them.
'You spent 200 quid on towels and candles for the bathroom?" Wot?
My wife married me  because she thought I was a project that could be a fun thing to take on, she is still working on it.

Men.   They spend half their life down the pub looking for crumpet,   and the second half hiding behind their newspapers with their fingers in their ears.

Yes, not being immodest, but I can certainly relate to that.
Fortunately, Marge knows perfection when she sees it.

   Yes,  I expect you do . . . .  how many times a week to you go now?

klondike

Twice. I imagine weekends are too crowded and Wednesday I go clay shooting in Rugby then after I drop in to see my daughter who lives there. You don't reckon on two days running at my age so two is all I fit in. What is amazing to me is how many people of a simular age to me go and even more go in for various group sessions.

I do still want to lose a bit of fat but what is probably more important now is regaining some of the muscle loss that comes with being older. I could do all that at home but can't work up the motivation. Going somewhere to do it means it does happen while exercising at home just doesn't. The various machines are good too and you wouldn't have those at home.

Mups

I was only kidding you.

Actually I know exactly what you mean about it not being the same motivation at home on your own.
Until all that covid lockdown, I did Yoga 3 times a week for 11 years.   They were a good bunch, and I made some good friends there.  Never felt better.

I also did the Gym once a week too,  but I was so ill after that first vaccine and for a long time afterwards too,  so that, coupled with the lockdown  put a stop to it all.
I should go back now,  but I don't know if I could do an hour & half of Yoga anymore, it can be quite strenuous.   I miss the people though,  and like you said,  its not the same doing it on your own.
