Finally, Himself says he's got time to repaint this horrible bland walled kitchen, but what colour scheme?
Any thoughts? Nothing too brilliant/bright.

How about a  pale, soft green,  to remind you of the outdoors you love so much?
It could look really nice with the wood affect flooring, too.

Scrumpy

Two colours ... Keep the side walls off white.. It will make the kitchen look wider..
The wall that has the window and door I would do in a pastel colour.. of your choosing..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I like the white, but if you want a change how about a very, very pale green, your floor tiles look a green colour

Great minds think alike, ey.

Thank you for your advice and I like it, going with Scrumpy's suggestion of keeping the side walls white/off white and a nice soft green for the other two walls. Just need to find the right green and the nearest B&Q or Wicks are down in Inverness so it will have to wait untill I'm up to the long trek.

I am so pleased about your choice... It will work fine...

White and pale green always look fresh!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Sounds good, Raven.   Good luck.

What about Amazon  ?

I like to find a colour then take a photo of it, then pop into a store with the big paint mixer that can match a tin of white to the exact colour I chose. It will have to be Inverness, I'll find that green.
