Just had a mooch around over the way and I noticed a member by the name of Rinkydink who seemed very familiar.  Do you remember an "academic" who was fond of telling us all about her degrees and her 'working class' parents in Liverpool ?  She did seem to look down on her upbringing.... for the life of me I can't remember any of the aliases she had !

Scrumpy

The only one I remember who was a bit like that was .. um!.. um!!
Can't think of her name but she had many aliases..
She had a sister who was the favourite.. She dealt in antiques and sold online..

Please... someone... jog my memory..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

That's her Scrumpy !   :upvote:

I am surprised it is even allowed for someone to post/join  under two different names?
I wonder why people do this?
Could it be incase they ever get banned under one name,  so they can just carry on under the second name?

Mups

No,  I meant be on, say, this forum but using two different names at the same time, and making posts under two identities.

Like me registering on here twice calling myself Mups, and registering again calling myself Gertie,  both at the same time,  not years apart.
Can't explain it any better.  :hmm:

The character in question just loved to big herself up as superior to everybody else. I think she rattled too many cages and eventually had to do a bunk but couldn't resist returning under an alias. At one point she claimed she was making a psychological study of us all for her umpteenth doctoral thesis or some such.

Apart from being pretty obnoxious with constant complaints about "Mrs. Gunga Din" next door which I for one didn't appreciate she was as boring as hell with constant stories of waiting in for the courier to pick up the antiques she had sold. If there was any truth in it I'd guess at buying tat at car boots and flogging it on eBay.

She was twigged in the multiple ids by folk more observant than I am spotting her style.

I think the main reason I didn't like her was I was certain that most of her stuff was a bunch of lies and I'd had run ins elsewhere with a compulsive liar so it rubbed me up the wrong way.

That also put me off a pretty harmless bloke over there who probably still is. The guy who apparently is a member of umpteen unlikely keep fit clubs including one running around Sutton Park at times when it is still likely dark accompanied by an unlimited number of centenarians one of which would often be popping their clogs at tender ages just shy of 110 but still active participants.  On the way back there would be madcap drivers overtaking him and either crashing or pulled over by the police most weeks. Not to mention the numerous oddball blokes in the nearby 'Spoons where he took a daily coffee. Some phoned him with extremely unlikely comments too.

I must be very unobservant I never noticed these characters .
There was one ghastly 'policewomam' on some place who was always boasting about herself and her job she had a couple of identities too.
Probably was the tea lady in the police canteen

Alex

The problem with having multiple identities is you need a good memory,
