Ridiculous.

Given the ability to record and thus fast forward through ads, or the availability to pay extra for ad free viewing, I see no reason why the BBC can't become a commercial channel, and let it raise its own funding through ads, sales etc.

Maybe if it had to compete more, it might improve matters somewhat.

Too many adverts by half, in my opinion. They get on my wick, because they are nearly all repeats.

They seem to be on more and more, and for much longer too.
We will only see half a programme soon, because the other half will be entirely adverts.

When I cancelled the licence I filled one in. I repeated that when they asked me nicely to do so. I ignored the previous one but thought I'd just do it to save having to get off my arse in the middle of Corrie or something to tell them to sod off

We currently subscribe to ITV a small monthly fee which means that when we stream programs, the adverts have been removed.

No adverts in downloads. Zoony's Video Emporium still thrives despite the one he always recommended shutting down a while ago.

I don't think anybody ever followed the tutorial so I haven't bothered keeping it up to date.
