Yes they do help. The one you mentioned contains the same stuff plus another active ingredient. You need to check whzt your previous ones were.

My previous ones were the same 0.2%  Hyaluronic Acid,  but these ones also contain something called Ectoin.
Not sure what that is,  I will have to look it up.

P.S.  Just looked it up and found this:

Ectoin® has exceptional water-binding properties, which means it helps to attract and retain moisture, creating a protective layer in the tear film and cell membranes in the nose.

Yes I read what their contents were but didn't check further as I was out fishing. That extra ingredient must be why they were recommended for you. As they are not prescription only I'm guessing the doctor has a get out and your optician isn't an NHS consultant who they must heed.

If there is no way you can get them prescribed then you'll have to decide whether or not to buy them and that depends on whether they are a lot better and if you can afford the expense. I find my own problemis worse at some time than others so you could supplement the prescription drops with bought ones. The snag is they aren't the sort of thing that lasts indefinitely and there is always a specification to use within some specified time of opening. I think the Evolve ones said within 90 days. The leaflet will specify it for the new ones. I'd try by best to get them on prescription though.

Good common sense as usual,  thanks Klondike.
Will try to see GP this week and see what he says.   :upvote:
