My 23 year old Peugeot had her MOT and service today..
She cost me just 320 in total to keep her road worthy..
Nothing major wrong with her..
She is a star.. She has never, in all those years, cost me a fortune..

I was going to add that the 'Old 'uns are best'..
But I know some will disagree..

Do you have the big full service one year, and a small interim service alternately?
I do very little mileage now though, it was just under 3,000 in the last 12 months.

Good job it isn't an EV. I can't see many of them lasting much more than 10 years and getting that far will only be a minority. I don't see how they can be considered green in any way at all.

Our old car needs a new clutch. Our usual mechanic has flu, so we've booked it in to a garage he recommended. Can't get it done for about ten days though. We don't rack up many miles these days.

in the last 12 months I only did 1080 miles - in days gone by a normal month would have been more than that

Mups.. I use my car very little.. I don't travel far these days.. I let others take me..
I think my garage do a small interim service... I bought the car from them and all my family use their service.. It is a local garage.. They collect my car and return it.. I know the boys that work there..

Mine is a local garage too just round the corner so I can walk there. My last MOT in December was combined with an interim service, £248 total. Just noticed the mileage on my little Fiesta is 84861 ! I don't go that far nowadays either.

Very similar to mine... They did fix brake lights and something else to do with the brakes..
That is not bad going.. to keep our old bangers on the road.. She never lets me down..

Just out of interest ..

My MOT was 49pounds... My intermediate service was 85 pounds..

Is that a standard price .. or do garages charge what they like.. ?
