Apparently the begging bowls are out for money to help the poor nations deal with the consequences of the so-called climate crisis.

Well maths has never been my strongest subject but I can grasp simple things like percentages, so since the UK emits around 1% of the total global polluting emissions I would expect us to contribute around 1% of the help.

The UN or whichever WEF puppet it is is demanding trillions every year, and 1% of that is obviously in the tens of billions. I don't think so. We are skint, and the sooner our politicians behave as if we are, the better. And if we are not skint we should have our £300 back and a bit more.

Good spot, I hadn't read the amount being demanded.

Personally I don't think the West should bale them out, the African, & other countries, have had just as many years as the West has to become wealthy industrial countries.

This COP business, although extremely dangerous to our habitat and way of life - it's really just an junket for the politicians isn't it? A place to boast about their private jets and personal fortunes. Another week of free food, caviar and champagne, and no doubt free briefcases and glossy pamphlets too, all weakening their ability to decide what is good for us, and baffling their poor inadequate brains.
