Maybe known maybe not. Maybe of interest maybe not.

FWIW Tesco have one of their 25% off F&F clothes if you have their clubcard. I've bought a few bits, Seem good value.

I have a clubcard but rarely shop in Tesco so doubtless miss these sales most of the time.

I never use Tesco either, only because the nearest large store to me is the centre of Chester where I never go.
25% off is a good deal though, bet there's lots of 'size 8' stuff !

They'll probably have more in any specific woman's size than the whole of the men's section which as always is completely dwarfed by the ladies section. Mind you if the TV is to be believed half the men shop from ladie's wear these days.

Similar here, the Tesco near us has very few clothes, the big one is at the other side of the ring road, it's a pain to get to.  Size 8s in sales is often right! 😂
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The sale is on everything not just selected products. There is a Tesco Extra near me. One reason I don't go there is because it is huge so takes ages to go round. Plus there is a long walk from where you can usually park to the store.

If I may detour slightly . . . .

Last week I saw a nice little fleecy jacket in Tesco,  and decided to treat myself.
There was just one minor alteration I would prefer though,  but thought I would take it to a very good sewing lady I know.

When the sewing lady had a look at it,  she discovered something I hadn't noticed.  The security tag was still on the coat.  She suggested I take it back and ask them to remove it.   Only thing is,  by then I had shredded the receipt, so how could I prove I had paid for it?

This really, really worried me because I was frightened they might think I had nicked it.    I wondered if they could trace my payment from my Tesco clubcard which I had used at the time to see I was genuine,  but what if they couldn't?  I really didn't know what to do, and I could not get the tag off by myself.

In the end I decided to go and talk to them and explain, and just hope they believed me.

As luck would have it,  the security man on the door saw me coming in from the car park,  so it was obvious I was bringing it in,  not taking it out,  and he kindly removed the security tag at a till for me in seconds. He never even asked for the receipt, thank God, so I didn't have to explain about me shredding it.

I shall certainly make sure they remove the tag at the till properly if I buy anything else there!

That wasn't very well thought out surely,  especially if someone is carrying a lot of shopping?

They knew you were a genuine customer..  I am sure shoplifters have mastered a way of removing any security tags..

There are trolley parks near the bottom of the car park too so it isn't that bad, It's just that most of my shops aren't that big and Lidl is nearer, smaller and cheaper.

I've found at least one in the past. They use a magnetic device to free them. I used a pair of side cutting pliers. No damage to the item.
