I wonder if you unplugged it, then plugged it  back in again,  if it would 're-set'  it?

Failing that,  if you're internet is ok,  could you find anything out by googling the problem perhaps?

The fact that your internet is on doesn't mean that your TV is registered with your router.

Personally I would check the router to see what devices are connected but I realise that's not something everyone can do so, in the first instance, I'd switch of both your TV & your router, then turn your router back on & wait for your internet connection to come back & then switch on your TV.

Check the pilot light.  Might need relighting with a swan vesta.

We get power cuts here often thanks to storms, just coming to that season.
Can't be bothered with Smart Telly's, I'm a fan of keep it simple.  :busted:

I don't even know what one is!  :hmm:

Alex

I was just wondering if it could be the telly  :hmm:   I was watching a film, so went downstairs and the big telly was working ok, so I watched the rest of it down there  .

Thanks though for your answers 👍

It's one that gets its info (and channels) from the internet.

I had the aerial plugged in, still couldn't get any live TV channels - not that I EVER watch live TV

Yes, mine always says "Not connected "whenever I switch it on.

That's because it isn't.

It might need the channels retuning, my neighbour had a similar problem a few weeks ago & that's what I did for her.

Alex, if you've got a mobile phone, try using that as a hotspot for the TV to see if you can get on the net that way.

Thanks all, I've only had the telly a few weeks and wanted to make sure it wasn't the set.   This is the second time it's just shut off, last time I just assumed it was the internet.  This time I was on the internet at the time.  Phone was working ok Dex as was my tablet.

I might pop into the shop and ask the helpful young men's advice.  Any excuse
