The bigger question for me is how the hell a wheel arch can detach head.  It's a very unusual injury from a traffic accident.

Raven

It's all very strange this accident, nothing is being reported properly.

If his head got wedged between the tyre and the arch, I suppose it could have acted as a scythe😳🤷🏻♂️

Sorry I can't visualise that. Please provide a diagram.

Don't forget that the head was apparently sufficiently undamaged to be mistaken for a Halloween prop which suggests a reasonably clean cut.

Ah, I wasn't aware of that.

Back to thinking about it.

Some poor sod picked it up and was playing about with it until he suddenly realised it really was a head.

Now TBH if this had happened 20 years back I probably would have just taken it as presented but these days a beheading suggests something more sinister. Especially as there is no sign of a bus and to me at least no obvious way one could cleanly take off a head. I have no doubt that if it did this will be a first.

It could all be as presented but does seem really odd to me.

An undertaker's 'take' on it :

"As a funeral director of 18 years, also worked for Coroner recovering bodies for 7 years I can tell you no way was this man hit by a bus.  I saw both images of the head and body, the injury wasn't caused by a bus.  The chest cavity profile appeared undamaged - not possible. The head also appeared undamaged and cut cleanly at the neck, no lower jaw damage. "

This is the part I do not understand, after the incident in which the man is believed to have died  instantly, police ordered nightclubs and bars in the area to close and students were evacuated from their accommodation.  Why  ?

Have you seen the video too? He must have wished he'd had some spare underpants.

A bus did pass by just as the bloke realised it wasn't part of Halloween & literally threw the head down & ran but it was obviously not the bus that allegedly hit him.

As you say, the dynamics & mechanics of the incident are very strange & the only explanation that I can come up with is the man fell of the kerb & went down headfirst into the bus wheel arch as it was passing.

If the bus wasn't connected with the incident until some time later it wouldn't be returned to the scene.

As cynical as I am, I just can't believe that the police would put out this story if there was no bus involved.

I think you've hit the nail on the head here (if you'll excuse the expression).
All of these police activities suggest someone decapitated him intentionally.  Who do you think go around chopping off people's heads?

Your version of possible events will gain traction if no bus operator or bus drive comes forward.

Tommy Robinson will get to the bottom of it when he gets out, in fact his team are probably thinking the same & preparing to investigate it.

I posted & my reply didn't appear so I logged out & back in again & re-posted it.

Either the forum is slow tonight or there's a problem at my end.

I think my Opera VPN was to blame, only just realised it was on.
