When is a black hole inherited or self made?

My wife reminded me today that I had (allegedly) agreed last night (I'd unusually had a few tipples of sherry to mark our estranged son's birthday) to gut out bedroom, redecorate it and buy new furniture from her preferred Swedish flat-pack furniture store.  Our incomes generally (marginally) outweigh our outgoings.  But this expenditure is deffo a black hole in my carefully managed economy, which allows for random purchases of shoes for Mrs Dex and drivellous and cheap Temu products for myself

So, I ask again, ... when is a black hole inherited or self made!?

Do you really buy stuff from Temu? The ads keep popping up, but the mix of stuff is a bit weird.

As for black holes, they shrink and expand depending on how much sherry one has drunk, and how many new pairs of shoes are needed.  And finally, anyone who volunteers building flatpack furniture deserves a medal!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I'm worried by that "favourite" as it suggests multiple visits and even possibly several purchases. Now I'm sure that she doesn't do the assembly but surely all your frustration, swearing and injuries associated with this activity would put a stop to it. You need help. Have you considered marriage guidance counselling?

I've had a couple of things from Temu and I like Shein for summer tops. But you get what you pay for, if you buy cheap you get cheap, I go for the dearer ones and they are much better quality and last a lot longer..
Black holes I can't help you with, but I suspect the answer is A bit of both.

Flat packs !!  We bought one.. It was a small wardrobe.. It never did stand straight.. It leaned.. We had to put heavier clothing one side to try and balance it out..
I have never heard of Temu..

Temu is a dirt cheap Chinese site. I've never used them but I do use AliExpress.

The thing about those flat packs is that they contain things far denser than lead, and quite probably bend the space-time continuum.

With that in mind, I suspect that this time we'll pay to have them delivered.  Once here, I'll unpack the boxes downstairs and take things up bit at a time.
