Just tried to log in to Ancestry.Com - they insisted on taking me to a 'free trial' page which I neither need nor want having been a fully paid up member for almost 20 years.

Finally managed to access my account to find - guess what - they have wiped out all my trees and 20 years research!

Have you ever tried to contact Ancestry?  Keeps referring me to a 'bot' that is only programmed to answer certain questions - and it certainly cannot cope with being called a pathetic, useless, twit!

Not a happy bunny - need a shot, a large shot, of Jameson's!

That is disgusting.  I can imagine how you feel, after obviously having made a great effort and done a lot of work.
Did you, perhaps, forget to keep paying your subscriptions?
Is it possible to ask them, if you agree to pay, whether they might locate and restore all your records?
Worth a try.

It may be a throwback to the recent outages Tabby.  And may well clear up in due course.

It had better do - or I may do something regrettable!

Then you have every right and a perfect reason to make an official complaint.
If you have been paying for this and they have lost your information, you should be entitled for some serious apology and, no doubt, compensation if they cannot restore what they have lost.
Please, go for it.
If necessary, seek legal advice.

I must ask my sister in Aus if she's been locked out, she has also been a member for many years.
Sorry to hear this Tabby. 💐

If they won't listen to your concerns, Tabby, go to the press.  Publicise.  National press.

Report the matter clearly, with no exaggeration of course.  It can move mountains.

Yipee - Ancestry are back - and my research seems all intact! Need to find some way to download it all onto a USB thingy.
