There will be change. The MPs will be at the other side of the trough for a start. But we still don't know what caused the sunak to call the election six months early when his party was not doing well in the polls, and deprived his lobby fodder of their paid summer holiday.

Perhaps he thought it might be even worse when his Rwanda scheme turned out to be unworkable as well as prohibitively expensive. Perhaps he got wind of the long knives being out for him. More likely that he was being his usual  completely out of touch with reality self.

Exactly that, and I also think that he didn't want to give Nigel Farage time to expand his support before the next election.  Sunak failed on both counts, but of course I think his party had already lost much support anyway following Cameron, Boris and especially May.

I think it's a fallacy that had Reform never have been formed the Conservatives would not have had a drubbing. They had failed to deliver on everything they had promised. They can't blame Covid for the immigration problems nor the Ukrain war for the bulk of it.

If the Tories had done what they were meant to do in terms of Brexit and immigration, then Reform wouldn't have been necessary and the Tories would still be in power.

Rayner has certainly changed, she's certainly changing her former socialist lifestyle & now wears £300 outfits.

She got away with her alleged house flipping offence as, from her younger days on a rough estate, she'd know all the tricks that the local women used to claim single parent benefits when they had a live-in partner.

You saw the tricks from the benefits side, I saw them from the housing side.  One example, a man who was a fairly high earner, claiming he lived with his mother.  His partner claimed to be a single mother to their three kids, living on benefits and all the extras. Neighbours eventually dobbed them in.

If Angela Rayner is spending £300 on an outfit, she should ask for her money back.    Some women can make a £30 Primark number look sensational, some women can make a £3000 designer number look trampish you've either got it or you haven't I guess.   Rachael Reeves always looks smart, but did anyone notice the ' frock' Sunak's wife had on during his resignation speech ? she looked like she was wearing two deckchairs

However unimportant you feel fashion is, these women are in the limelight now and their fashion sense will be on show.

How it's suppose to look........

You know politicians promise the blue of the sky before elections and when they are part of the government they are confronted with the reality and as to the Brexit much was eyewash, because there were no countries eager to fulfill their dreams and they would have needed them. To make matters worse - one crisis followed the other, think of Covid, the wars in the Ukrainia and Gaza etc. As to the migrants, as the UK is no longer part of the EU, France is no longer obliged to help the UK and prevent the migrants from crossing the Channel.

I think Mrs Sunak still looked better than the Deputy PM.  Ang should have gone to Next or M&S. That green outfit was not worth £300!

You're right.  Never trust the French.
After all they've done against us ever since we fought and died for them in the war.

I don't like either outfit and would never wear them. I thought Sunack's wife looked like his daughter, she's like a wee doll.

I think the ginger growler must have been wearing a Primark knock off of the designer dress. Obviously I'm no expert but it looks to me like the reason she looks like she's wearing a couple of green sacks is the way the fabric hangs. Buy cheap buy twice.

That is certainly the impression I walk away with. I don't think that dress would look good on any woman.

Perhaps Sunak called an early election because he knew they were going down the drain... He just wanted to end the misery..
I bet he knew that Reform were waiting on the sideline ready to make their move.. I guess he didn't want to give them anymore time to band together..  He now knows that Reform is the biggest threat to the (Big) two.. Labour and Conservative..
Reform only have to battle with Labour now to make their mark and battle they will..
Conservatives are a threat to no one..

I am not too clever when it comes to Politics.. and I hope the above makes sense..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Makes sense to me.

There is a possibility that the Tories could fix their problems but the signs are that they won't and will be consigned to history or merge with the LibDems who could then legitimately inherit the LibCons name the Tories earned.
