I thought about this and arrived at the conclusion that the word 'Black' could be replaced by the word 'Dark'.  A dark dress, dark blinds, dark magic, etc.
Somehow, though, I suspect that there would still be complaints, probably from Darkies!

Dunno what they'll be using to dig either....

And the answer is, play snooker instead...all the colours are involved, the black is worth the most points and the white always gets hit.

And what colour will we have to wear for funerals??

Octarine the colour of magic would be an excellent choice.

I fervently hope that the next funeral which I attend will be my own.

Oooh . . .  you shouldn't say that,  you might tempt fate!

Since black isn't on the spectrum of light, perhaps we should refer to it as such.  Thus we could refer to certain people of a particular hue as "non-reflective and off the spectrum".

That should keep the peace.

Some Americans seem to think they are all African Americans. Including those living anywhere in the world. These are the same Americans that criticise our slang term for cigarettes on the grounds of non inclusivity.

They often appear on Quora. It's possible that they are trolling rather than just being complete dipsticks. They are also often the same ones who are certain that their second amendment rights entitle them to bring their AR15s here for self defence. The usual reply is that they are of course correct and recommend putting one in each their suitcases.

We used to call the original occupants of America 'Red Indians'.

I wonder whether 'red' will also become an offensive word.
I expect all fire engines to be hastily repainted, perhaps in blue?, at least in Londonistan.

They are now native Americans.

Apparently Eskimos was considered racist even before the current nonsense and they were re-christened (is that racist?) Inuit. All a complete mystery to me.

There seem to be many people, especially in this country, who seem to enjoy being 'offended' with almost anything which crosses their little minds.  It is a national pastime.

Yes,  I agree, JBR.   It's like a new hobby for some people.
