Yet another named storm. Orange and yellow alerts. They seem to be cropping up with increasing regularity. Now I know Raven had some snow. I may be wrong but I'm by no means sure that is anything especially unusual for north Scotland. There was a flood alert here but checking shows the affected area is basically the normal river flood plain.

The weather here has been pretty much what you'd expect at this time of year and I have a suspicion that they seem to be bigging up weather events which I suspect will be blamed on climate change.

Am I wrong? I certainly could be but has anybody here experienced anything distinctly out of the ordinary?

It is pretty clear.

Global warming!

There is only one solution.
Don't burn anything, don't drive, don't heat your home, don't use any electricity, don't use aeroplanes, trains, buses, or any other means of transport.

In fact, stop living.  You're killing the planet.

It is a bit windy out. Almost like winter.

JB will hopefully confirm that, unusually, it has been raining in Manchester.

I came home looking like a drowned rat today.
Outside my front door is a pool suitable for goldfish.
The gutter is leaking and throwing rain on my new window !
Heavy rain again for tomorrow and I'm going to the sodding hairdresser
Don't think I've missed anything.....

Unusually?  Eh?

Actually, we haven't been outside today (though the cats have!).

On the other hand, one of our gutters has been overflowing due to a blockage.  Another job on the list.

It's mild and very windy here - very unusual for this time of the year. In former times we had lots of snow - not that I'm keen on snow, but this weather is extremely strange.
