Danger to cats

Saw this in Saturday's paper and meant it pass it on, but forgot, for which many apologies.  A highly infectious and deadly coronavirus strain that has killed at least 8,000 cats in Cyprus has spread to the UK, scientists have found, from the Mediterranean island. The infection has been identified as a hybrid of an existing feline coronavirus and a canine coronavirus. It is called F-CoV -23 and is not linked to COVID 19.
I have no idea what may become of all this – but it might be an idea to contact your vet for cat owners if they have any advice
