Morning, Another Scorcher today, was out at the crack of dawn watering all my pots and tubs before the sun hit them. Back yard was soaking with water running through them. I suppose it will have to be done again tonight.
Been swimming, done the messages, and now got a load of washing to get through, daughter and grandaughter are off on the road back to Dundee don't envy them it's so hot and the sun will be in front of them the whole way. I always try to drive down to Perth on a dull day, it's much more comfortable.
Enjoy your day folks. 🙂

What a lovely photo !

I thought you might like to know that Giraffe's clean their ears with their own  21"  tongue.

Is that too interesting?

There's now a temporary use ban (better known as a hosepipe ban) in place for our region.
Until these restrictions end, you can't use a hosepipe (or anything attached to a hosepipe, like a pressure washer) for the following:

Watering your garden

Washing your car

Cleaning your patio
You can read more about the ban and the restrictions on our dedicated webpage.

Men don't get smarter as we age.  We just run out of stupid stuff to do.

I don't think Scotland has ever had a hose ban  :hmm: but I could be wrong.

If you do we're all in in the brown stuff

As far as I know at the moment  Alex,  Anglian Water has  (that's my one),  Cambridge water,  Southern Water and South East all have.

P.S.  Like the page topper, Klondie.

No hose ban here.. SES water
I am watering my shrubs as we speak.. The leaves are beginning to drop..
I would rather pay the extra water cost than see the plants die..

I was wrong we have had a couple in the past. Went and Googled.

Yes, Scotland has had hosepipe bans, but they are incredibly rare. The last nationwide or widespread hosepipe ban in Scotland took place in 1995. While some localized regions (such as Grampian) briefly experienced restrictions in other dry summers like 1984, there have been no general hosepipe bans for Scottish households for over three decades.
