Don't let them scare you sweetheart..
They can bloody wait.. Like we have to wait for them sometimes..
They won't be sending the 'big boys' round...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Thanks again Scrumps.   :hugs:

But if I disappear soon, don't worry about me,  it will be just because I can't  connect the new router, so have no internet.

I waited 2 weeks for this doctor's appointment, 8am this morning.   I was there at 7.50 but the doors were locked so I waited.  Bang on 8 the doors opened, there were only 3 of us there.  I sat in the waiting room and was called through at 8.20am.  As I walked into the doc's office he was rubbing his eyes, he spoke to me and I answered
' what you've been asleep'  ? he looked at me and said ' no take a seat'      He grinned and I said 'I'll make an appointment for my hearing some other time'

I felt an absolute plonker

I went to my exercise class this afternoon,  but didn't enjoy it.  In fact I came out half way through.

I know its my fault,  and you can't expect someone to alter a class just for one person,  but I can't stand loud noise or very noisy people.  I never have liked either.
But since my hearing has been playing up,  certain noises actually hurt deep my ears. It's not nice.

Each week I have asked the instructor if she can possibly turn the music down a fraction,  but the next bit of music that comes on and its ear-splitting loud again.    To make matters worse,  she then has to shout at us  to be heard over the music!!

Today was worse than ever,  and it was really hurting my ears,  even though I had taken my hearing aids out before I went in,    but rather than make a fuss,  I just made my apologies and  quietly left.

She is a nice girl,  and knows her stuff,  but I suppose if she does this all day and everyday,  she doesn't notice the noise like someone who has just come in from outside.
She'll probably end up as deaf as me though, one day!

I don't think I will be going back, which is a shame.  They are a nice bunch, and its good to meet people and make friends,  but I can't be shut in with that ear-splitting music,  and for all I know, it might damage my ears even more.

What would you do?

Mumps.. I would have a private chat with the instructor.. Explain your problems .. Tell her how you enjoy the classes.. and will be sad to leave them..
If that doesn't work offer her a backhander... 25 pounds should do it.. Don't get sucked in for more..

I think you're  perhaps right about  talking to the instructor,Scrumps,  I don't want to leave as I like the company and also exercise does us good.  Only thing is,  I can't expect someone to change their whole class just for one person.
I think others there think it loud too,  but they won't speak up.

I don't see what a backhander could do?

I am going out with my friend this morning, to a little charity event.
Two villages away there is a huge Snowdrop display all around the old village church grounds, thousands of them.   We went last year,  its nice and restful.
Inside the church they have  stalls selling odds and ends,  bit like charity shops,  and Teas and snacks.

After we've had a wander around,  we're going down to the old pub in the village for a bit of  lunch.   Hope it doesn't pour down again!
