Given some ot your earlier comments on things you like you might want to recall my observation on cross trainers and advisability of sports bras. And no it wasn't that I need one.

Wish me luck, I'm going to drive my car today come hell or high water. I need to get out and about a bit, I am going nuts stuck at home, going to make a latte and drive over to do a bit of wave watching, will plonk myself on a seat and get some sea air too.

Can't remember where I saw it but somebody mentioned being early for Christmas. This has been out at least a week near me. Halloween stuff before.

It was great thanks Alex, was only away for a couple of hours but it breathed new life into me.

The one on the bay window in my pic looked like he'd been on the mince pies and Baileys a few days before that one was taken but he seems to have sobered up OK.

So envious you can drive Raven.  I've got at least another two weeks before I'm allowed. I'm going out every day now, OH drives me, or I have a little walk locally.  I'm only using one stick now, and the bionic knee feels strong.  Still various bits of pain round the site, but my nurse daughter is pleased with my progress.  The hardest bit is trying to get my leg completely straight.  Ouch.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Raven

I know how you feel GM, 6 weeks is a long time. When my knees were done I had an automatic so driving was not too bad when I started again, I think a manual might have been harder. But you do have your daughter to keep you on the straight and narrow, can I advise you to take her with you the first time you drive.......Just incase you find your not quite ready, and she can drive you home.

We have power.
For the second time in the last 6 months we have had no electricity woke up Monday morning just after 7 am no lights no power anywhere,  reported it to the National Grid on my mobile, landline obviously down too. Report noted....and that was it until 9.47 pm Monday night!
So it was candle time..it looked like the Vatican on Easter Sunday. Thank God we have a Gas Hob.
It is quite scary in a sense on how reliant we are on electricity. No working chair lift...no Ring camera system..no communication by landline, no internet..no heating, although it's gas it needs electricity to work. Even the gas hob requires a naked flame to ignite. ...I gets dark here just after 3.30 pm....radio not working, tv not working...we had to speak to each other...really scary...

Wot? You mean real conversations with real voices?
