Mups you know I have warm hands so if you ever want a rubdown by an oily Sgt Major you know where I am, and because you are a mate and a good customer I will give you a special rate. 🥰

I see no reason to threaten the poor lass at this particular juncture. 😬

You might not be aware that the oilyness of his hands will be from 2 stroke lawnmower engine oil.  The daft chap has misunderstood the meaning of the word "stroke". 😬😬

I think I could manage that Scrump..but I may have to charge for the extra extra virgin olive oil.  Mups knows the drill so check it out with her.

Well I must say,  Vlad has worked wonders for me,  what a man!   Lovely warm hands too, and I know I shall sleep well tonight that's for sure.

I hope  Vlad's alright though,  because I noticed Scumps turn the key in the door and neither of them have come out yet.
I heard one or two funny gasps and squeaks a bit earlier,  and caught a quick glimpse of Vlad's rather red face and heavy breathing,  but that was three hours ago now.

Quote from: Mups on October 24, 2025, 07:02:23 PMSitting here writing this from hospital A& E !
Had another bad dizzy spell, couldnt walk or even stand up
Very frightening.
Luckily my friend was with me
Couldnt get hold of GP, so rang 111 who sent an ambulance.
Hosp  did ECG,  Heart good.
Awaiting blood results now.
Good neighbour gave my dogs their tea for me.
All for now.  x

On a more serious note  now.
Thank you to those who wished me well,  it meant a lot. x

I will explain a bit better now.

As I said earlier,  2 x heart ECG's  were both good,  and also, all blood results good,  they also said I had no blood clots,  so I was very relieved to hear these results when he said he doesn't think it is anything serious.

This has been going on for some time now, but getting worse.
I have been waiting for help for months from the ENT dept. at the hospital,  to find out what is going on.
We know there is a problem with my left inner ear, and it has been giving me problems for some time.

Now, because it still hasn't been properly investigated, I have lost all hearing one side lately, and its horrible.  Also, only being able to hear from one side doesn't do a lot for your balance!

The nice young doctor at the hospital last night, feels my problem is to do with tje inner ear as the more serious things have now been rules out now,  including a brain scan incase of a tumour.
So now the Doc said he will write to my GP and tell him.
I  eventually got home about 10.30 pm. last night, and felt exhausted.

I have been trying to get an ENT appt. for my ears for months.  My GP wrote and told them it was urgent, but nothing happened.  Then he wrote again try to  'expediate'  an appointment because the ear was deteriorating rather quickly . .  -  but still no appointment came!

Then suddenly,  just 2 days ago, I  finally got an appointment arrive  for mid November.
So let's hope they will finally get a diagnosis and can make it better.

These horrid dizzy turns have been very hard to bear,  and that bad one last night was number  24,  would you believe,  so I hope you can understand why I have been at my wits end with no help on the horizon.
It is very scary,  especially when you are on your own and become unable to even stand up,  and with the room spinning for 2 or 3 hours at a time, not just a few minutes.  An absolutely horrible and frightening experience.
I just hope and pray they find out what's causing it at last.

Michael Rolls

Fingers firmly crossed for you
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

Sounds horrible. November is almost here so let's hope that they do sort this out for quickly.

That's horrible Mups.  I've had stapedectomies done on both ears over the years, and so have had a fleeting understanding of how worrying, dizzying, tiring and disorienting a loss of hearing in one ear can be, but nowhere near the level you're going through.

Touch wood they can discover what's going on and restore some sense of normality.

Today Mrs Vlad and I are having lunch at the new house now that the chaos has subsided. I shall also be looking over the garage conversion plan and quote...in preparation I have showered and changed my Y fronts.

He's done that 3 times already.

I think he ought to use them for lighting the bonfire on Halloween.
Then we could have a whip-round and get him a nice new pair.
