* Klondike,  when you said  -  " The overblanket ones are more expensive but for me they are a gamechanger as they keep the weight of the bedcovers way down."  -   I don't know what you meant?

Surely there can't be any weight hardly in just a summer tog duvet?

* Dex,  thank you for your good wishes,  but the Penicillan isn't making a scrap of difference so far.
Early days though.

*Raven,  so far so good.  Glad you got home alright.  :upvote:

Without the over blanket it would be a heavier duvet. If I get too warm in the night I can turn it off. You can't turn a high tog duvet off you can only throw it off.

The real advantage is that you can control how warm you want to be at the turn of a dial or on the case of the one I have press of a button.

Thanks.  I shall have to have a look at them.
One silly question perhaps,  but if you spilt your cup of tea on it,  would you get an electric shock?

A quick question for anyone who knows about googling stuff.

Above each result I get,  everything has  'Sponsored'  written.
I have only noticed this fairly recently.
What's does that mean?   :hmm:

The wires running inside it are insulated. That applies to all electric blankets. They all have to pass stringent testing before being sold (not individually but the model). Like anything else they can go wrong but if they are handled with respect they should last years.

They are adverts based on your search not results from searching all the data google has on the subject.

I was so tired yesterday, so I slept really deep and had a lovely lie in this morning.

Not a bad morning outside,  just going to hang some washing out, then I think I will do a bit in the garden, there's always jobs to do out there.  I've got some lovely tasty tomatoes this year.

(I hope that is boring enough?)

Alex

Nice morning here too, I've just got food shopping to do, now that's boring !

Raven

Morning All, Not too bad out today so I've got a couple of loads of washing to do and hopefully get it out on the ropes to dry. Feel a bit sluggish today don't know if that's because of the iron yesterday or not. Nurse said I might feel a bit off for a few days. Anyway doing what I can and resting between jobs, out for dinner tonight and maybe down to our village local afterwards, for a wee while. Dunc's pals are always there on a Saturday evening and I know he loves to catch up ect ect.
They say women can talk and gossip HAH, Dunc's lot could give us women lessons.  :embarrassed:

Good evening, folks.

Don't forget to look for the big  Red Moon tonight.

Michael Rolls

Not much chance here. We have 10/10 cloud cover and drizzle

Yes, I almost fell off the bed, the phone went off a few inches from my head. I lept up like I'd been shot, gave me a hell of a fright. I went for a snooze and had forgotten all about the alarm.  :yell:

Alex
