Quote from: klondike on August 20, 2025, 03:04:46 PMThat's so he can upsell the stamp. I think default compo if they lose it or drive over it is only about £20. It's all part of a script - for instance batteries are banned. Possibly dogshit is too - I'm not sure.

I filled my car and made a booboo. Picked up the E5 nozzle by mistake. 5p a litre dearer. At least I can check if the suggestions that using it works out cheaper because it gives better mileage. I pretty much do the same journeys all the time and know what mileage it reports. Lower by a tad in summer I've noticed.
No, animal poo is fine.     See below:

Diagnostic Samples:
"Dog faeces sent for diagnostic testing (e.g., to check for parasites) are typically considered exempt specimens. This means they are not subject to strict hazardous materials regulations, but still require appropriate packaging. "

Also, the Lab  always sent out the correct kit to use and post back to them too.  It's all done properly.
Anyway,  what about people who use the 3 x yearly  postal bowel cancer screening?  They post it, don't they.

They send them to me, but I'm not sure that it's three times a year.  In fact, I sent one off only a week or so ago.  In all fairness, once closed it is pretty immune to breaking open... and even exploding!

I did that many years ago. Incredibly the result is still there decades after. It was a tiny wall of local rocks dividing the crop of grass and weed in front of my house from the one in front of the house next door. Given my lack of skill with cement it is amazing that it remains and only by the existence of street view that I saw it was still there at least it was 4 or 5 years ago. Not sure if street has been update since.

Well out of my league mate . I am just glueing dragon rock pieces together so that I can grow plants over them, exposing the roots. It keeps my fingers busy, which if unsupervised misbehave...digging..poking..scratching in places that would be frowned upon in polite society

That wall must be around 50 years old. I wonder how many repairs have been necessary. I put gas central heating in it too albeit with a huge amount at help from my brother in law who had recently left the army after 9 years. I'm not sure how he learned plumbing as he was a weapons instructor in one of the guards regiments.

Makes a change from breaking them apart, like you used to when doing hard labour.

I'm going to hide my propensities for slightly, ahem, older members of the armed forces by taking my wife to Greece for a week on Thursday.

Whilst airborne and until such time as I can work out how do get back online, I shall have to trust that nothing untoward will be suggested about me behind my back.

Vlad, I'll get a gallon of olive oil while I'm there.  😉😉😉

Whilst in the air avoid the following instruction from the wag at the back of the aircraft, "stand up! Hook up! Shuffle to the door...etc" have great break mate.

Sorry JB,  that was my bad phrasing.
I meant every 3 years,  not 3 x year.
