As it happens,  I bought you another one for your new garden today.
I was told it was a rare and unique  replica  of your good self in your mankini . . .

Great historical fact.

Alexander the Great and Winnie the Poo had one thing in common

They both had the same middle name.

We were up early this morning as the Clydes needed a run, so we took them into the forest for a while then over to the beach for a paddle and a gallop. Not a sign of any pesky tourists, they were all still asleep, the Clydes fair enjoyed it and were quite frisky to get into the water. Evenings are out now until the tourists go home. Saw several motor homes parked where they shouldn't have been, this is all going to end in tears one day I'm sure. 😕
Just a lazy afternoon for me... 😁

How do you mount Clydes, Raven?

You must have one heck of a high mounting block,  or  very long extensions on your stirrup leathers!

Raven

I used to walk her alongside the big wooden gate and climb up from that, but Dunc built me a mounting stair after I smashed up my leg a couple of years back. It's so much easier for me. It's very similar to the one in the photo.  I try not to dismount once we're out but sometimes I have to, then I have to put my left foot into his hands and he kind of chucks me up into the saddle. I hate that way it scares me a bit, always worry I'll fall.

Mups

Yes, the mounting block looks safest,  but  if you have to dismount (or fall off) if you are out on your own,  it would be a work of art to remount, I bet.

Anyway, glad you are feeling well enough to ride again.   :upvote:

I don't go out on my own, always with Dunc. If I came off I'd not be able to get back on, she's just too high. After my leg was smashed I wasn't even allowed to be off a lead rein, he was determind to keep me from losing control, it was over a year before I was in charge of Bonnie.
