Has he been Scrumpy ?
Did he have enough rubber piping ?

Scrumpy

Like buses, two came along together..
One to do it , the other to be shown how to do it..
No rubber piping needed ... this time..
Just a screw and handle..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I must be getting old - I missed that

My washing is out and blowing well,  and I've just scoffed some cheese on toast.

Been to the doc's this morning.
He wants me to have some blood tests,  but the phlebotomy dept.  can't do this until August!!
Then popped into Asda for a couple of bits on the way home.

After another mug of coffee I shall go back outside and do a bit more to the garden.
My day is overwhelmed with excitement.

August for a blood test is crazy. I was told by the General  hospital blood taking unit here to book the test online then keep checking for cancellations. Grab one if it comes up and cancel the original. Not tried it yet but it does sound feasible.

Yes, I was not pleased, as you can imagine.   It's seems a long time to wait, and I am a bit worried.
I suppose its because the doc marked it as routine and not urgent though.

I tried 2 different local hospitals,   Irthlingborough, and  Wellingborough,  but they were both early August.
I remember the days when the GP used to do it there and then.

Thanks for the idea of keep checking though,  I will do that.   :upvote:

It's not that long ago that it was a walk in service at the hospital or just a few days to get it done at the GPs. I suspect they don't pay the GPs enough to make it worth their while doing them as mine packed up ages ago.

Yes,  same here.
It must be a few years now since GP's here did it.
They used to send us to a local clinic in town,  but even that's packed up now!

If the doctor has asked for a test it's because they think something is maybe wrong and the patient is quite possibly going to be worried by that. Waiting a couple of months for a simple test then ehi knows how long for an appointment with the GP after the test is just more evidence that the NHS is pretty much a busted flush.

Still a walk in at two major hospitals here, along with a drive through in an old ambulance station.  Living in a city does have some plus points.

Boring boring boring.
Got a radiator coming from Toolstation. They use DX as courier who give the really useful timeslot of...

Your Toolstation order will be delivered on Wednesday 11th Jun 2025.

The delivery will be made within the hours of 08:00 - 18:00.

If you're not going to be in, our driver will leave a card and you will be able to rearrange delivery.

Track your delivery

The tracking link does no better. Pound to a penny if I go out it will arrive and I'll have the same joy another day.

I have had other stuff come by DX and thought they arrived early but may be wrong.
