Quote from: klondike on April 25, 2025, 08:35:33 PMAh yes the mystery previously hanged man. I've seen that and others of his quite a few time. I used to watch Rawhide as a child.

Me too Klondy, I loved Rowdy Yates and the trail boss who I recall was killed during filming.

Well that's my boots on, my body warmer on, my sleeves rolled up. Bag of scraped n cut carrots n apple mix. Time to get over to the Stable, got 2 big Clydes waiting to be brushed.

My older cat has taken to liking cat soup (which I gave him while he was recovering from a recent illness).  Naturally, this is blooming expensive to buy, so I've bought a few bones and am making a broth in the slow cooker.

He'd better like it!!

If you don't mind me saying, Sir,  that sounds more than a little daunting.

After all,  Vegetable soup is made from Veg,  Oxtail soup from Oxtails,  Chicken soup  . . . etc etc,   hence my alarm at 'Cat soup.'

However,  I am glad your old fella is better now.

Glad Puss Wuss is feeling better.

I think they must have put some cocaine in their soup, as my cat is addicted to it!!

Mind you, I saw a recipe which included adding some catnip to the broth.  That'd be a cat equivalent to opiates.

Royal Mail did their usual. Something supposed to be delivered today. Not there when I got back but it was no sig required and I can't believe it wouldn't have gone through the letterbox as the thing is tiny. Tracking say to be redelivered next working day so on Monday. I'm not waiting in. I sometimes think with RM these days it would be quicker to walk to the seller and pick stuff up.

On a barely related point, since you don't need a licence to listen to BBC, may I recommend that you listen to the Radio 4 News Quiz from 18th April, especially the first 10 mins?

klondike

I always used to listen to Radio 4 driving to and from work and News Quiz was one of the rotating programs that filled the 6:30 Fridays (?) Comedy slot. That was maybe 40 or more years back. Not heard it in years. Probably a podcast but I really cba to chase it down.

We have rain, and lots of it.  An at home day for me.

Beautiful sunny day here.  My daughter is picking me up soon, off to a spa for a couple of days with her and my daughter in law.  It's an annual treat, OH is making me a bacon sandwich before I go.  Lucky me. 💞
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

It's one of those days in which many roads have been shut down round here to facilitate a marathon or some other race and this makes it a nightmare to get to some places.

I wonder if, by some pure miracle, those roads have had their potholes repaired to limit tripping hazards.
