That sounds a bit too chilly for me Michael..

Sunshine here.. temp rising to 15..
I must get out for a walk today.. I shall watch tv later.. The Apprentice.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Beautiful sunshine here in the North West. Going back to Sheffield later, sunny there too. 👍
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Nice here today, really nice if you can get out of that wind. But this is Caithness, Windy is what it does here.

Another sunny morning here, too,  but forecast to drop down to -1 overnight!

Got to go and mow the lawn again now.  It grows too quick!

Planted my lavender.. 6 bushes..
Cleaned the motor.. My sciatica didn't allow much else..

I hope they grow well, Scrumpy.  Did you plant them in the ground, or pots?
I think I am going to have to find a space for mine in the flower beds somewhere,  as they haven't done well in pots.
Either that,  or find much larger pots perhaps - not sure what to do yet.

I got my grass cut this afternoon, so that's another job done.  Trouble with my Flymo is it has no wheels,  so I have to carry the darn thing in and out of the shed.
I also got a couple of my Carnivorous plants re-potted.

I  noticed something rather lovely this afternoon.  The sun was out, and so was the moon.
There was a perfect half moon in the East,  and at the same time,  the glorious sun in the West.
They both stayed together all afternoon.
Is that unusual, I wonder?

Went to SpaMedica today, they are a private Eye surgery hospital who do cataract surgery for the NHS for an assessment for laser surgery on my eyes. I went to them about 3 years ago for cataract surgery, but they have clouded over making it very difficult to see and read, hence my absence.
I have an appointment for surgery on the right eye in June, a procedure called YAG CAPSULOTOMY, basically they are going to punch a hole through the lens with a laser. I should have listened to my mom about eating carrots.
Anyway I shall still pop in to try and read the posts my eyes have good and bad days. Later cherubs!

That sounds uncomfortable Vlad, do they do them one at a time? I had one cataract removed some years ago, my other eye is still ok.

Hope they can sort you out.

Vlad, I remember when you went to SpaMedica last time,  and you were pleased with their treatment.   I hope the next op goes well for you, too.

In the meantime,  a word of advice.  Try leaving the lads mags alone for a while,  you know they steam your glasses up and that won't help your eyes.

Good luck Cherub.

I wondered where you were Vlad.. I just thought you were still at lock -in at the Jockey Nostril..
Or down the cellar with Mucky Maureen.. Wait til you get your eyesight back.. she ain't pretty..

June will soon be here...  I'm sure all will go well for you.. Wishing you all the best..

Good luck, Vlad.
I don't know where you live, but I have been seen many times at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, firstly in 2018 for a cataract removal from my left eye.  Consequently, my glasses lens had to be changed.
Following that, it was revealed that there was the beginning of an epiretinal membrane which, at the back of the eye, was causing hazy vision.

In August 2019 I was taken in to the same hospital for epiretinal membrane peel and vitrectomy in my left eye.  This, thankfully, was painless (thanks to anaesthetics) and, as it happens, very interesting because the vitreous was replaced by water and air, the air bubble appearing below the water in my vision.
My left eye vision is now better than that of my right eye.  I wonder whether another op will come in that eye.

These eye experts were brilliant and I hope that, should you have surgery on your eye, you will receive such excellent treatment... and, of course, that it is painless!

I have been working in the garden painting a very low retainer wall.. I was sp pleased to get it done.. My lower back was damn painful..
Had something poking in my back last night.. most uncomfortable.. It turned out to be a clothes peg that was in my pajamas..
