That is amazing, Raven.
I have always wanted to see that,  but doubt I ever will now.
Looking forward to your next ones tomorrow.

What a great sight Raven!  Beautiful.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Good morning all.  A dull, overcast day here so far.
I'd quite like to go back to bed,  but I think I'll have anther cup of tea and see if that wakes me up.

Here's a few, not all from Dunnet Beach. We went to the village beach and past the castle ruins to the Front at Thurso. It started fine but the blooming cloud came up and it lost a lot of the colour, by the time we got home it was almost gone. Some with the camera some with the phones.

You should be able to see it Mups, keep an eye on your weather forecast they usually say if it's going to show. Get in your car drive and park someplace dark away from the town lights. Check through your phones camera lens as it will pick it up when you will see nothing. When I'm in Perth I don't see it unless I drive a couple of miles to the big park and sit there.
The Northern Lights appear to us in shades of grey because the light is too faint to be seen by our own (colour-detecting) central cone cells. DSLR camera sensors don't have the same limitation as our eyes.
I have an App on my phone that gives me alerts. Aurora Watch UK.

The sun has got its hat on, hip, hip, horray
Flew up to Newcastle Tuesday to see friends cheaper and faster than train, got into a might argument with a guy who said I was sitting in his seat which went on for ages, he then said in a very loud voice, ' ok, you fly the bloody plane  then!"
People are so touchy these days
