The boring thread.....

Had to faff around a lot with the new French doors yesterday, largely because the bricklayer who had created the opening a few years ago didn't seem to understand the purpose of a spirit level🙄

All main painting of bedroom done, so just a bit of touching up tomorrow in readiness for the carpet fitter on Monday.

Have started to upgrade the mechanism  of the ottoman bed and bought the cloth to reupholster it.

Tidied up the kitchen ' junk' drawer this afo 

Guaranteed that before the end of the month you will find something you need and now recall was in the kitchen junk draw will have been binned.

Well before then you'll find that things you could lay your hands on in seconds in the draw-as-it-was now take several minutes of rummaging to find assuming you can at all.

That second problem will lead to a slightly less full draw turned over so often that it will be months before grabbing things from there will take just a second or two.

There was an theory in this area conceived by Douglas Adams so ridiculous but clearly completely believable...

The idea that aliens, unable to interact with humans directly, had evolved into small, unnoticeable objects—such as those mysterious bits of plastic or metal that turn up in drawers and no one remembers owning.

I have loads of stuff,  especially out in the shed,  which I have not used for years.
But as soon as I decide to chuck something out,  you can be sure I will need it!

 I now have two keyrings with about 15 keys on them, but I have no idea what they're for, so better not bin them
