Bratwurst. German sausage. Unlike English ones they do contain some real meat not mechanically recovered lips and arse.

Just turned my thermostat fromthe night setting to timed. I'm expecting it to turn on in the morning given the forecast. Thought I'd blow my pensioners £10 Christmas pressie.

Our combi boiler won't have the heating function switched on until the downstairs heating zone thermostat, which is in a rarely used North facing room, drops below 15c.

As the house is very well insulated the upstairs heating zone thermostat, in a South facing room, has never dropped below 15c so I may well leave that zone off.

Once you acclimatise to lower temperatures it gets quite easy to live with them.

it can be quite easy to die with them too.

post op yesterday i came to with an arm uncontrollably flapping about. i wondered what was going on. seems one of my reactions to the sedation was for my core temperature to drop by just one degree (saw it on my chart) and i was shivering. must be common as they were quick with some plastic sheeting inflated by hot air which fixed it up quickly.

Wasted opportunity if you ask me.  They could have put a wind turbine near your hand and used the draft you were creating to generate much needed electricity for the grid.

klondike

they could have saved the electric heating if you'd been there - an expert in hot air if ever there was one
