My mate had an appointment with the doctor.
Just before she left home she picked a spot that was on her nose and it started to bleed.
The doctor asked my mate what she could do for her..
She said it was about the results from a scan she had about two weeks ago..
The doctor asked 'What scan' ?
' The one I had concerning my stomach problems'
' Are you sure you had a scan.. It's not showing up on the screen '..?
They continued to chat and it was decided that she should have a scan..  'But I've just had a scan'
My mate said her stomach problem had been going on for five years.. and they seemed to be getting nowhere.
The doctor stared at her .. then , all of a sudden said ' Do you know you have a spot on your nose.. and it looks like it's been bleeding '!!
'Yes, I know .. because I picked it.'
'We will keep an eye on it.. meanwhile I will book you a scan.. okay.' ?
'But I had a scan two weeks ago..'
The doctor stood up from her chair and opened the door for my mate to leave.
'Your time is up now'.
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

And to think I thought I'd been missing out this last 3 years or so not being able to see a GP.

It is incredible that the doctor had no test results.. and nothing showing that a scan had taken place..
And to tell a patient that her time was up..  :nooo:

Could have been worse.  He might have looked at the scan and then told her her time was up 😳

OH saw our GP about four weeks ago. Blood test showed raised PSI, and exam suggested all wasn't well.

Two weeks later he saw the specialist urology practitioner, and had an MRI on the same day. He's having a biopsy next week.  So far I can't fault the service,
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Hope things work out GM.  At least they're acting quickly.

Hope all goes well for your hubby GM   :upvote:

Cheers folks! He feels fine, and its a very common issue with men of a certain age!

Wish him good luck from me Mac.

My raised PSA turned out to be simply enlargement. The MRI did lead on to me getting the joys of two colonoscopies but that was nothing to do with the PSA level.

I've had a problem with a raised PSI, it was on the rear NS tyre & it affected the car on tight left-hand bends.

How old was the tyre?
