Quote from: Raven on October 17, 2022, 06:44:49 AMI hate these type of animal in distress videos. I made the mistake of watching one about a poor dog, and I'm bombarded with them every time I go on YouTube now. They are so distressing I try to stay away from the site now, but I did have a habit of visiting in the evening if there's nothing on telly.

Quote from: Diasi on October 17, 2022, 09:04:50 AMI quite like the videos where an animal is rescued from a predicament, one in particular where a young elephant was rescued, with the help of a JCB, after falling into a hole. All the family of adult elephants stood watching & just let the humans get on with the rescue.
Quote from: Raven on October 17, 2022, 11:39:26 AMOh I don't mind those type, it's the ones where the dog (usually) has been abused, dumped, in pain ect ect, by it's horrible previous owners. It breaks my heart. I used to help at the Old English Sheepdog Rescue for Scotland and I saw some of the awful things that can/do happen sometimes.
Quote from: Michael Rolls on October 17, 2022, 12:46:01 PMthey are one of my remaining Charites - they do great work. Never forget one of their e-mails a couple of Christmases ago. To celebrate the festivities, some swine, at the dead of night, drove to one of their centres and hurled an unwanted dog ( from memory, it may have been a Boxer, but not sure) over their fence to be discovered the next morning. Thankfully, they were able to nurse him back to health, but what sort of person could do such a thing? Another one that I would love to introduce to a hungry tiger or the like
