Just been reading that Camilla will be called Queen and the ' consort' bit will be dropped.  OK, whatever floats their boats, but when our Queen was crowned, her hubby didn't become King Phillip, but became the Duke of Edinburgh, so I wonder why Camilla gets to be called Queen ?
I like Camilla, she seems quite normal and I bet Charles is a grumpy old Bugger to live with !!!!

Did she not keep her own house on as well? That way she can buzz off and leave the Royal Grump to get on with it. :yay:

I think it's a traditional courtesy title, we all know she's not the king.

A Queen cannot make her husband King, but a King can have a Queen who is their consort and (not in Camilla's case) mother of the future heir to the throne. The Queen Mother was consort to King George V1, Queen Mary to George V etc.
