Yes evolution is working. The virus has mutated as they always do into something less deadly.

A virus that prevents its host from mixing by making them seriously ill does not reproduce as well as one that only produces walking wounded so the dominant strain becomes the one that produces the milder symptoms while the deadly one becomes far less common.

Florida Recommends Against mRNA Vaccination for Males Aged 18-39 Due to 84% Increase in Heart Death Risk

Florida's State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo has recommended against males aged 18 to 39 receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines owing to an 84% increase in the incidence of heart-related death within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. Here is the press release.

Today, State Surgeon General Dr. Joseph A. Ladapo has announced new guidance regarding mRNA vaccines. The Florida Department of Health (Department) conducted an analysis through a self-controlled case series, which is a technique originally developed to evaluate vaccine safety.

This analysis found that there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination. With a high level of global immunity to COVID-19, the benefit of vaccination is likely outweighed by this abnormally high risk of cardiac-related death among men in this age group. Non-mRNA vaccines were not found to have these increased risks.

As such, the State Surgeon General recommends against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines. Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.

"Studying the safety and efficacy of any medications, including vaccines, is an important component of public health," said Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo. "Far less attention has been paid to safety and the concerns of many individuals have been dismissed – these are important findings that should be communicated to Floridians."

The analysis can be found here. The guidance can be found here.

The move follows on from Denmark ending vaccination of most under-50s, though any safety considerations in that decision were left implicit.

I read this the other day, I know there's still so much they don't know about the vaccines, so why are they still 'sending' for people to go along for their booster here  ?

The British Yellow Card data has been published up to 28th September and it shows that 2,272 people died whose deaths were linked to one of the novel injections, an increase in 32 over the last month.

I am scared to have the Covid jab and scared not to, I am having my flu jab next week, but haven't decided about the Covid one yet.

So much scarey information out there, and I do know a lady of 60 who has serious heart problems which her doctor admitted was probably from the jab.

I always felt they 'discovered' a vaccine far too quick .... most can take decades ... having said that I do believe having a jab reduces the severity.

I also believe that as a steep learning curve on how to tackle a pandemic, the next time around when some virus goes global it'll be handled in a totally different way. The cost in billions to the economy and the dire increase in NHS waiting lists is going to take years to put right.

As to wearing a mask in supermarkets and on buses ... I might do again now winter is on it's way and cases seem to be on the rise.

I should mention that the day after we returned from holiday, I began to feel slightly ill.  On Wednesday (the 5th) I did a Covid test which proved positive.
My feelings of illness began to become a little worse after that: interestingly, most of the stated ill feelings never showed themselves, but I lost my appetite and found it hard to eat anything without feeling sick - a bit of a problem for a diabetic - and I did throw up once after trying to eat some food.
My blood glucose levels (as I'd expect) dropped, several times below 4, and Marge was becoming rather concerned.
Today, I had the bright idea of drinking a full glass of milk for breakfast and that overcame the feelings of sickness, which I assume were due to acid build-up in the stomach.  I know what to do now!
They say that Covid usually lasts no more than 10 days...
of course, then there's that 'Long Covid' thing!
I do have a couple of medical appointments (unrelated) and I'm considering delaying them.

Well that's me back from having my 2 jags, one in each arm.  [1100] I'm glad I got Himself to drive me as both my arms are sore, hope there's nothing else going to happen. I remember my first Covid jag, it floored me for around 3 days, I don't want a repeat of that, it wasn't nice.  [2010]

I'm afraid that Marge has just now tested positive; six days after I first tested positive, though she doesn't have any symptoms yet.
Sorry Marge.

Luckily, it can't be passed on over t'internet, so you're all safe.

Thanks Alex.  So far, she has no symptoms.  Unfortunately, I do and have done for a week now.  Not the usual coughing fits, etc., though.  I have lost any appetite and find it difficult to eat, having to force myself which makes me feel like vomiting.
I hope Marge manages to avoid those horrible feelings.

Flu jab  :check: no swelling or pain, good, because I've sometimes had a reaction.

Covid jab booked in a couple of weeks  :check: Fingers x no bad side effects.  My daughter had both together last week, mandatory in her job, and felt rough for a day, a bad headache and shivery.

OH, with his dicky ticker, has decided against the booster, he had some weird reactions after earlier ones. Racing heartbeat being the most concerning.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

My daughter is still tesing positive and it's now been a week, her husband is also now testing postitive and my grandaughter is now on her way up here to us for a while.
