With the expected high temperatures , and with little or  no rain, i hope sensible people every where will stop using garden hoses as the demand for water increases ,

i haven't got a garden hose, but  have  several watering cans instead which i water both the front and rear garden early in the evenings , some times early morning around the roots of the plants  which I'm sure many of you also do,  particularly more so of those on a water meter ,.

iv also read of plastic particles which have managed to get into our water systems
which i sincerely hope the filtering process is up to scratch being able to filter out these minute pieces of plastic,

Q; have you any thoughts on our water and how best to  conserve it as we go through a very hot summer period ,
if so will you share your thoughts with us,

I use the hose to water the garden.. My daisies are as important as those in any palace..

If we have water shortages and any other shortages does that not tell our stupid leaders something?
Tony Blair let in 1 million extra people and it's been going on at a high rate eve since, god knows what our population is now and have the resources kept up have they hell!!  every single dinghy boy that arrives on our shores is extra usage.

Can they not even do basic maths? more people = more resources needed - it must be simple even for the biggest dummy.

I cultivate only drought resistant varieties. I let natural selection choose them. It seems to favour those which grow through the joins in block paving. I check those for resistance to neat cheap toilet bleach.

I use the hosepipe on my plants too, it doesn't take that long, any water left in the pipe I put in the watering can and use that too.

I also use any water that I have used for washing up..

We have a water butt, and use watering cans, but need to use the hose sometimes too.  I also let washing up water cool down and chuck that on the garden too.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖
