I heard he goes running most mornings at 4:30am and gets lots of advice from men  he meets in Weatherspoons....

-Oy-

So he won - and considers it a victory - despite a third of his MPs being against him.

I don't think it makes much difference now. The next election is Starmer's to lose anyway.

If they start doing stuff that they were elected to do they might save it but I'm pretty sure that more policy is Carrie Symonds policy that it is Conservative policy. We will probably be getting a Labour/LibDeb/Green coalition in reality rather than a government that acts like it is one.

Brexit - done but not well
Immigration - both illegal and legal on a steep upward trajectory
NHS - broken - GPs invisible, waiting lists enormous etc.
Taxes - increased hugely

That's without the partygate business.

He had 41% of his MP's against him. If they don't replace him, quite simply they'll lose next time election anyway. Just as Thatcher, Major and May did in the past and all starting from better positions than this hapless galoot.

He's such an indeterminate blatherer that he won't perform the radical surgery he needs to now. Ex-communicate people like Gove, Truss and all the other remainers with their Green Wokery and concentrate on true Conservative values. Out of the ECHR, 1951 Refugee Convention, issue notice Article 16, to quit the onerous Brexit treaty. Give Sturgeon her referendum permission and Wales, Northern Ireland too. Let them either put up and go, or shut up (n.b devolved politico's - not the people).

He might as well, if he stays as is, the Wets in his party and cabinet will only push the country to a no overall control position next time, ushering in the 'Coalition from Hell'.

Mike if he lets the Scot and Welsh etc go, they can't gang up on him in a Westminster Coalition, they'll be enjoying the benefits of the EU, complete with it's currency! That cuts it down to Labour (a busted flush) and those who wear their Y fronts back to front !

We should be happy..
Boris must now court the voter..
If he plays his cards right he could become popular once again..
The man seems to have the ability to stay afloat when a ship sinks..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

You already are Mike, we may be part of the UK,  but Scotland is not England, and she has her own Culture and way of life.  :embarrassed:

Boris is far from safe. He told the house of commons there were no parties and all rules were followed. Multiple fines were issued and I haven't heard of any appeals being made. There is a Select Committee sitting to decide if he mislead the house. It is possible that they will conclude that he didn't but if they decide that he did then it is the custom that ministers resign.

I suspect that there is sufficient plotting against him to ensure that he wont be able to achieve much.

Of course - but we are all part of the UK. Scotland isn't England, just as it isn't Wales nor Northern Ireland. We are a union
