Having read that the government has between the years 2010 and 2018 planted 15 million trees, how ever more need to be planted to help to help us and the world to combat climate change,

so as a thought perhaps we should plant more trees in parks,

at least once these trees are fully grown it will help the wild life and perhaps we might see birds, as a result,

of course we should have more hedge rows as this too will help other species to survive ,

Q; have you any thoughts on trees and hedge rows, if so will you share your thoughts with us,

funnily enough Alfred, one evening in India we were having a nice social chat, sat under the fan, and my friend out of the blue asked me "crabbyob, how would you like to be remembered" the question surprised me, but remember their views on death ect are somewhat different to ours, so i thought for a moment and told her "when you hear of my passing, i ask if you might at some point plant a tree, a proper tree not coconut nor banana but perhaps a Mango or even a Neme, plant it somewhere it might be safe to grow"... and she promised she would... if i ever get the chance i will ask my son to plant a Peartree for me...

Parks would need to be forests to take enough trees plus they plant them as tiny saplings so they wouldn't survive. They all get planted in open land and doubtless the already rich owners get further enriched to do so.

As a complete aside Alfred would you like your PF avatar on here or is it a way or tracking where you are? It is one of those ih the actors avatar pack. You can either add it youself or ask and I can add it.

I am fortunate to live near a park.. Many, many trees..
I have hedges as well as fencing.. The birds nest in the hedges and seeing their young is fantastic.. They all come down to bathe in my large bird bath ( made it myself).. They line up around the edge and take turns.. 4 at a time..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

weight is flexible (I tell myself). About 40 years ago I never bothered to weigh myself, feeling comfortable at an assumed 14-7 or thereabouts. Then one day I did step on the scales - 16-13! Some hurried remedial work was undertaken, and for years I was around 15-0.
Eventually, however, I did investigate and found even 15 was overweight (I am 6-1 when I really stand up straight, which last occurred around 1987). Then Veronica fell ill and I decided I really needed to be as fit as possible to care for her and for the last couple of years of her life I was down to 12-7. Veronica felt I had overdone things, and I think that she was right - I was forever catching colds.
Since she died in 2018 I let my weight edge up to 13-7 or a little under and I have hardly had a cold since

I was 12st 7 lb at the start of lockdown. This morning I was 15st 8lb.

I need to do something involving exercise and eat less.
