Absolutely.  Most older ladies will say exactly the same, sometimes without the 'again'.

Then, it appears that beyond a certain age, they revert to proudly stating their real age!  It's nowt to be ashamed of, in fact there is a certain pride in it.

I can quite honestly say I'm nearly 70
Or just as honestly nearly 80

I have even honestly forgotten sometimes. I do recall I have to renew my drivers licence again later this year.

Yes I love telling people that I am 92.. Love to see the look of surprise and disbelieve when I tell them and skip off down the street

Hope I can copy that myself.
Only 17 years to go

Quote from: JBR on May 05, 2025, 09:33:19 PMOf course, I expect that the ladies on here are not going to admit their ages.  Most women don't, though it is nothing to be ashamed of.

I spent my whole life lying about my age, never admitting to be 40 or 50 or 60 !   but now, why bother ?   [2080]

Well, I think that I can rejoice in being the forum's youngest member now...

except for '1955 Vintage', I suppose, although I don't remember seeing that member here for a very long time.

When I move house, I will need to buy a new mower, looking at the lithium battery ones.

You posted in the same thread.

That confirms it.  I'm going doolally.  I certainly don't remember it, but then Marge often loses her temper when I can't remember something.

OK.  I'm the second youngest member of PF.

The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

I never feel old at all. Sometimes my body disagrees. It often disagrees when I first get up.

Yes, mine's the same as I'm getting up too.   It gets a bit younger as the day goes on though.

I wasn't around in 1945 when the war in Europe ended. My parents, who weren't married to each other at that time, never mentioned what they were doing, I expect they sat in our garden with his mother, drinking tea out of a big teapot, and wondering what the future held. The washing up probably.
