Yes to both Alex, but they don't get paid any more for those roles.  He gets paid for being PM, and the deputy PM (chosen by Starmer) will also be given a Secretary of State role which makes them a member of the cabinet, for which they get about £70k on top of the £90k salary as an MP.

I think that's how it works.

Edit- just read that Starmer sacked the chair of the party (Reeves' sister).  Weird hierarchy 🤷🏻�♂️
