I'm glad for you that you have those videos. I have only photos as I lost my parents before the days of mobile phones and when video cameras were clumsy things. There are so many things I wished I'd asked them when I had the chance and never did too.

When Our granddaughter was born, I bought a camcorder and have lots of footage of her - but apart from Veronica appearing briefly in some of those, I never filmed Veronica - and only realised the fact when ot was too late

Me too.  I was 17 when my dad died, and I never met any of his family, quite a sad story how they were all estranged.  I haven't any photos of grandparents or anyone from that side.  I have lots of my mum who died at 86, 30 years ago, and so many really old photos of ancestors from her side, I haven't a clue who some are!  

The changes since my post war childhood have been huge! From radio to TV, gramophones to streamed music, and the introduction and spread of IT! Also the level of comfort in terms of central heating, showers, frozen and pre cooked food, the range of food and the opportunities for eating out.  Foreign travel was something my dad only did during the war, and my mum hadn't left Scotland until we OH and I moved here.

Very sensible of her, though, to come over here where things are much more free and easy compared to 'the other place'.
