maybe you would. i wouldn't. yes neither the loss of the winter fuel allowance nor the predicted loss of the buss pass nor the loss of the 25% single occupant rate relief are going to put me on the breadline but i'm pretty sure they will some.

Maybe "forgiving" wasn't the right word.  Perhaps confident that if they were going to tackle the biggest prevalent issue we have then maybe they might actually be doing things in the interest of the country.

Personally, I'm not really sure why Starmer had to announce the loss of fuel payment at all at this stage.  Getting means testing in place, trying to ensure that those who are eligible for pension credits are actually getting it, both of which would lead to a preferential system all round would have been far more sensible and achievable within a few months.  

I can only guess that he's used it to deflect from other things.

We spoiled our papers, no candidate worth voting for.  Huge Labour majority here, so Reform didn't stand.
