Have they caught the person who stole the g from the title?
The problem with being retired is that you never get a day off

Apprehended and restored. More than plod would ever do.

Nice to see culture still survives, hope its big one.

How big is that bat? I used to have Gray Nichols weighing 2 lb 7 oz . I heard that they don't press them anymore making the ball go further but only lasting five or six innings.

Could not imagine Barry Richards or Asif Iqbal stroking it around with a tree trunk like that.

These 'sledgehammers' weigh in at 3lbs 7 ozs, my friend who scored a century against the West Indies in the days of Holding, Garner Roberts and Daniel has just now shown me the one he used that day. It tipped at 2lbs 2 ozs. As he says, today slashing really pays off, even if you don't middle it! Also they have huge 'sweet spots' multi layered centres ...

I don't know how heavy my bat is, I found it in a Charity Shop 23 years ago when I first started living on my own again. I was actually quite nervous and jumped at every noise in the night, so when I saw the bat I bought it and kept it down beside the bed, in easy reach. I know it's heavy enough to knock you sideways.
It's quite a big old family house, 2 floors and it could be quite creepy in the dark.

One thing Plod does seem adept at is getting anybody who brains a burglar up in court.

Hardly my fault if he slipped on the stairs and hit his head as he fell.  :halo:
