'Room for one more on top'
But there were two in the queue at the bus stop
Elsie pushed to get on first
Molly then hit her with her purse
So Elsie hit her back with a mop.

Two men tried to get in between
To put and end to this scene

Quote from: Raven on Yesterday at 01:01:01 PMI had lazor treatment on both my eyes at the start of the year. It was to reduce the pressure behind the eyes. Worked a treat and didn't hurt at the time, but I was a little lightheaded afterwards for a short time.
Well I am off tomorrow appointment is for 1040 so I should be back home before lunch

Quote from: klondike on June 04, 2025, 08:14:51 PMJust do a copy paste rename the copy and play with that.
I was planning to restore Microsoft Word back to use and re-do the files using that.  Unfortunately, my old version is no longer working properly and to update that would cost me a lot of money.  I don't really like spending money, but I did find a version for sale (£30) by a third party and was going to shell out for it.

However, again on the grounds of being tight-fisted, today I went back to the LibreOffice file and tried again to make it work properly, as daily restorations of missing sections is getting a bit wearing.
The only way I could get the file to work was to remove the second half of it (which actually related to a different organ) and, lo and behold, the first half remained correct when I re-opened it.  The funny thing was that the repeating fault was in the middle of that first half!
So why, in removing the second (unaffected) half, did that correct the fault occurring in the first half?

Answer (at least in my opinion): the file was too big!
However, one of the 'experts' who I had been in touch with said that the file could have been much bigger without the problem arising.

Looks like you've changed your mind then....

Quote from: JBR on May 29, 2025, 11:38:16 AMPerhaps, but before they are crushed, they will have seriously depleted Putin's forces.  They will also quite probably have caused any potential allies of Russia to think again and turn against them.  China could then become the strongest opponent (at least presently not in favour of war) of NATO.

Quote from: klondike on May 29, 2025, 11:45:56 AMChina already is.

Quote from: JBR on June 04, 2025, 01:47:15 PMYes, certainly financially.  I don't quibble with that, as I have bought some good quality goods from China.

Quote from: Scrumpy on Yesterday at 10:23:26 AMIf Russia are as (fearful) as we have always been led to believe why are they still fighting with little old Ukraine..?
Putin doesn't want trouble with others.. he knows he wouldn't stand a chance..
As we all now know, Putin is finding the Ukraine a bit of a problem and certainly not the quick walk-over he was hoping for.  Yes, of course the West is providing arms and other support to Ukraine, but the fighting on the ground is virtually Ukrainians alone.  At the same time, Russia is losing a lot of manpower to the extent that Putin had to ask for help from N. Korea.
If he is still struggling with a single small country like Ukraine, I'm sure you're correct that he certainly can't extend his war into other countries.  Even better, they immediate ones are all members of NATO, so he'd be taking on the whole of Europe even if America decided not to join in.
He would be well advised to hang on to what he has, perhaps including Crimea, and consolidate his control of Russia itself.

Quote from: Raven on Yesterday at 11:01:04 AMNo idea, they will send the results to either or both my GP and the Cardio Doc. About 2 weeks they said.
That in itself is encouraging, if it can wait for a couple of weeks.
