Quote from: muddy on December 17, 2025, 12:18:05 PMGosh I have just been tending to the poinsettia I bought it was a lovely plant now it's shedding leaves like there is no tomorrow .i think they need lots of water ..
I just hope it will last until Christmas Day !
It didn't know they were poisonous but my dog never eats anything .
( bar junk food he loves chips )

Muddy,  the plant label says the opposite about watering, so be careful about giving the plant too much.  I wonder if that's why yours is shedding so many leaves maybe?

Label says:    "Water sparingly to allow the compost to dry-out slightly between watering.  Do NOT over-water or allow the roots to stand in water for long periods."

Lil was a quivering wreck
And Bill hadn't even massaged her neck
He put oil on her back
To help her relax
And still not even a tiny peck

Lil decided to give Bill a stroke

Hope you feel better soon Raven, a bit of good fortune seeing that doctor! We put so much trust in the NHS, and its not always foolproof.

After OH had a 3xCABG (bypass) they gave him medication to bring down his BP. Standard practice.  I walked onto the cardio ward to see him upside down in some sort of contraption. His BP was through the floor, and he'd passed out thanks to the tablets. Soon sorted but scary at the time.
